Street Barrel Piano Restoration
By Christian Greinacher

Hello Robbie,

This past week I finished the restoration of my Street Barrel piano.
Thanks to the help of the MMD community I could solve all the minor
problems I was confronted with during the 206 hours (!) of restoration
work. Now the instrument, built by Cesa Carlo in Novara, Italy, about
one hundred years ago, looks beautiful and sounds great again! I have
attached some pictures showing the piano now located in the entrance
hall of our house.

Just for information for other collectors who would like to start a
similar project: It was terrible work to replace 3,500 pins (out of
about 15,000) of the barrel: Each pin had to be cut by hand, shaped and
placed into the barrel, but it was worth doing it!

Greetings from Germany
Christian
