Drilled Piano Hammers
By D. L. Bullock

I, too, quit buying hammers from Schaff and American years ago. I sent
about six sets back to be replaced and redrilled with the correct
angle, but then I found Ronsen Piano Hammer Co. They are the company
that made most hammers for our player pianos originally. They have
supplied hammers to the industry for probably 100 years. I can get
hammers for anything from them, upright, grand, square grand, historic
piano, birdcage uprights. They actually make the hammers using their
own moldings and felt. They will drill every hammer to precision and
with any hole size I specify.

For fine grands, however, I have found that I prefer Renner USA in
Weston CT will drill everything exactly to the samples as well.
