Punch Machine Project
By Philip Jamison

I purchased Bob Essex's plans for an X-Y punch machine. The idea is
quite simple as it uses a single solenoid punch for the "x" axis and
the paper/card is pulled through the machine for "y". This is done
with stepper motors. The electronics, while not terribly complex, are
beyond my skills, since I'm more into the mechanical. Also, Bob used a
lot of parts from other machines and designed his punch for paper only.

Is anyone interested in getting together with me to try to make a
rugged and dependable punch machine based on Bob's plans? An entire
machine could be built for a few hundred $ in materials, I'd guess.
It seems a waste to duplicate labor.
