Humidity Control for the Piano Tech
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Don't hate me for this, but something Bruce Clark wrote
made me chuckle. He wrote, "This drastic change is very unhealthy
for your piano, you, or anything made of wood."

Yep, at times us player techs can be real block heads. ;-)
Don't forget to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. :-)

Seriously, without our two humidifiers pumping 4 to 6 gallons of water
each day into the air, our humidity level can drop to 12% (and lower)
in the winter. Then, five months later, the air conditioner takes out
3 to 5 gallons a day (I measured it) to keep the humidity down to
60%-65%.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
