Books "American Carousel Organ" & "On Display"
By Gary Stevenson

I try to keep up on the printed word relating to outside mechanical
music machines. Thursday, through the listing in 000308 MMD, I ordered
Fair Organ Preservation Society's book, "On Display", from Philip
Jamison at $35.00 plus shipping.

I wanted MMDers to remember that Ron Bopp's book "The American Carousel
Organ", is another book that is still on the market, for lovers of this
type of mechanical music.

For those who don't know and are interested, Ron's book is a
photographic encyclopedia of all of the band organs made in the United
States. It is 8-1/2 x 11 inches in size and contains 308 pages, over
450 illustrations and has a hard cover. At a cost of $59.00 plus
shipping, this book reads well and I found it to be worth the price.
As an added bonus "The American Carousel Organ" includes a CD of a
Wurlitzer 153 band organ. If you are a multi media person, like I am,
you can listen to a band organ while reading about them.

If you are interested in getting a copy of "The American Carousel
Organ" you can contact Ron at <bopp@rectec.net>.
