Musical Automata

I remember seeing a picture of an automaton, made in about 1810,
in the form of a young woman, life-size, which played a harpsichord.
As far as I recall it was no longer operative.

I've no idea where this was, so haven't mentioned it until now.  But
if anyone can identify it from my description I'd like to hear more.

Nowadays we ought to be able to have a reproducing automaton worked off
MIDI.  One that plays any piano ! Not a pushup - a mechanical person !
