National Vintage Communications Fair, Birmingham UK
By Kevin McElhone

Readers in England may be interested to know about the National
Vintage Communications Fair which takes place at the NEC (National
Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham, England on Sunday 30th April 2000.
This fair has dealers and collectors selling items such as phonograph,
gramophone, radio, mechanical music, telephones, etc. etc. There are
usually around 300 stalls.

Kevin McElhone and Brian Chesters will both have stalls with mechanical
music such as organettes, cylinder and disc musical boxes and music to
play on them. But as only a small selection can be taken to the show
it might be a good idea to make contact before the show to make sure
things you want will be available on the day.

The Player Piano Group usually have a representative taking a player
piano along to help get people interested in owning one or finding out
more. You might enjoy pedaling a roll to several thousand listeners!
