Recrowning the Soundboard
By Christian Greinacher

Nearly everyday I can learn from the postings from the real experts
in MMD. But sometimes it's difficult to understand the very special
terminology of the very experienced experts. (I am German and it's
hard with some English expressions.)

In the 000415 MMD D. L. Bullock used the term "recrowning the
soundboard". I can translate each of these words but I cannot find
out what it means. Could somebody please explain to me what this
means? I could not solve that problem by myself.

Thank you and to all my best greetings

Christian Greinacher

[ From my 7 kilogram dictionary of 1927:
 [
[ crown (v.t.) ... 8. To cause to round upward; to make convex,
[ as a road or a roof; to make (anything) higher at the middle
[ than at the edges, as the face of a machine pulley.
 [
[ "Recrowning the soundboard" in German might be "die Decke
 [ (das Resonanzbrett) wieder mit einem Bogen versehen";
[ "to again provide the sounding board with an arc". -- Robbie
