Sealing Leather Pouches
By David Snelling

I suspect someone has already covered this method before I joined MMD,
but I have always used rubber cement diluted into a thinnish soup with
cigarette lighter fuel followed, when dry, by a dusting of talcum
powder.

We can still get rubber solution as part of bicycle puncture repair
outfits over here in the Isle of Man. Mind you we also still use horses
to draw our trams! I believe latex based adhesives can be thinned with
water.
