Remote Organ Blower Installation
By Randy Hayno

John McClure asked if he could locate his organ blower for his
Reproduco organ 30 feet from his organ.

When I installed my J P Seeburg MO I wanted to locate my blower at the
other end of the house in my workshop. I called my distant cousin who
owns Reve' Pipe Organ Company in New Orleans and he laughed and told me
that I could probably locate it in the next town. I was surprised by
that statement even though it was in jest.

I located my blower about 70 feet away from the organ and ran 3" PVC
thin-wall drain pipe for the wind, and 1.5" PVC for the vacuum. The
distance didn't seem to make any difference at all. The organ worked
perfectly so I guess my cousin John was right.

After all, I had heard of pipe organs on the 3rd floor of houses,
and the blower installed in the basement.
