New Pianos by Yamaha and Mason & Hamlin
By Albert Petrak

To All: Just a note to direct your cursor to two sites, for
information about the latest in reproducing piano creation. In case
you missed the AMICA showing, log on to the Yamaha site and access the
"What's New" icon. Having done that, then access the Pro 2000, and you
will see a very high-tech version of the Disklavier. It's not for the
traditional, surely, but the details of its capabilities are certainly
stunning. Also stunning is the price: $333,000 -- not kidding. They
state that only a few have been produced, for obvious reasons. See
http://www.yamaha.com/

Further, a local piano man (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) states categorically
that the finest piano now being produced in America is from Boston,
and it's the old favorite, Mason & Hamlin. Leaves the Steinway,
Boesendorfer, Baldwin, Yamaha and all else in the piano dust, says he.
Can't wait until he gets one so that I can see/hear. If you'd like to
view it, access http://www.masonhamlin.com/

Any comments from the tribe?
