Harpsichord Automation
By Bob Lang

I have just joined the Mechanical Music Digest and look forward
to getting a lot of good information.

I have just completed building an acoustic harpsichord that plays
automatically via a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) to
a computer. It is very easy to arrange MIDI (.mid) files from the
Internet to play on the instrument. The harpsichord was built from
scratch using a gutted 1790 square piano case.

We are pleased with the look and sound of the "Harpsitron" and
I thought your members might like to take a look at it at
http://www2.netdoor.com/~rlang/harpsitron.htm. Comments welcome.
