MIDI Editing Software "Harmony Assistant"
By John Page, UK

Mike Knudsen wrote, "Do any commercial composition programs have
the "legal check" feature?"

Myriad in France market "Harmony Assistant", which features an
"organ filter" which is much the same as legalize. Notes not "legal"
are shown in red.

There is also a facility whereby templates can be printed for cutting
book music. However, it only works for small organs without counter
melody. I asked about this, with the reply that there is no commercial
gain as there cannot be more than a few such organs in the world!?!

It is well worth looking into on http://www.myriad-online.com/ A few
more enquiries may manage to persuade them to expand this facility.
