"All In The Family" Theme Music
By Todd Robbins

The closing theme of All in the Family is called "Remembering You"
and it was composed by jazz pianist Roger Kellaway. He is a friend
of the show's creator, Norman Lear.

Lear mentioned that the show needed a theme song. Roger went to work
on it. When he presented the song to Lear, Lear was filled with
chagrin because Charles Strouse, the composer of the musical "Annie",
had come up with the opening music. Instead of discarding Kellaway's
tune, they used it as closing credits music. That's Roger playing the
number.

It's too bad that you don't get a chance to hear the whole thing as
it's a great tune. I believe Caroll O'Connor sang the tune on a record
he did a bunch of years ago.
