Piano Roll Tracking
By Jan Johnson

Hope someone here can steer me in the right direction. I have a player
piano that is a newer (60's or 70's) Aeolian. I bought it second hand
and didn't get any literature with it. It seems to have some problem
with roll tracking. (I collect music boxes and phonographs and know
nothing about players but love to listen to them). It will play most of
the roll well but then will "go off track?" for a short time and then
play well again. I have noticed that the rolls don't rewind evenly.
Could this be the problem? I do tap them as instructed in the QRS
rolls but this hasn't helped.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Jan Johnson
