Repairs for Deagan Carillons and Chimes
By Bruce Wood

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

1. Does anyone know what happened to the Deagan Carillon which was
installed in the tower of the Hall of Science at the 1933-34 Century
of Progress Exposition in Chicago?

2. Robert Hoffswell, who does business as Orion Restorations, has an
operating Deagan tubular chime in the office of his shop in Mahomet,
IL. He rescued it some years ago from a church about to fall to the
wrecker's ball, and made the repairs necessary to get it working.
Since that time he has worked on a number of Deagan instruments in the
central Illinois area, and would be interested in working on others if
the occasion arises. He can be contacted at 415 E. Main St., Mahomet,
IL 61853, tel. (217) 586-2244.
