Rebuilding a Universal Player Piano Action
By Martin Anderson

Hello, I am working on a pneumatic stack that has been attacked by
mice. Two questions. Is there an _easy_ way to get the glued
pneumatics off without destroying them? Does anyone have any more
information on the Universal system as far as what kind of valves it
uses? The only information I have is what Mr. Reblitz put in his book
of player restoration.

Thanks, Martin W. Anderson

[ Professional restoration firms find that it's more economical to
[ make new pneumatics rather than attempt to save the old pieces.
[ The cost to make new parts is frequently less than the cost of the
[ shop time consumed while trying to preserve old parts attached with
 [ a permanent adhesive. -- Robbie
