Tempo of "Rhapsody in Blue"

Brian,  Don't be too quick to condemn the playing of the Ampico
piano at the Nethercutt museum as being too fast.  I also have the
Ampico roll played by George Gershwin himself and it is lightening
fast, that's the way Gershwin played it.

I asked several organists friends about this exact subject and all
said Gershwin played it really fast.  Most people do indeed like it
a bit slower.
