Dienst Orchestrion Inscription "Diadem 48"
By Horacio Asborno

Hi, I'm writing again about the Dienst orchestrion which is in a
museum here in north Patagonia. There is an inscription inside on
the left, "Diadem 48", that we don't know what it means, so I have
a question to MMD Readers: Can somebody write to me to explain it?

Regards,
Horacio Asborno,
Viedma, Patagonia, Argentina

[ My 7-kilogram Merriam dictionary of 1927 says:
 [
[ diadem (from French & Latin "to bind"):
[ 1. A crown; specifically an ornamental headband or fillet,
[ worn by Eastern monarchs as a badge of royalty.
[ 2. Regal power or dignity.
[ 3. (Heraldry) One of the arches rising from the rim
[ of a crown and uniting over the center.
 [
[ The first verse of the Himno Nacional del Paraguay concludes:
 [
[ Y trozada la augusta diadema,
 [ Enalzaron el gorro triunfal!
[ (And when the august diadem was shattered,
[ They raised the triumphal cap of liberty.)
