With regard to using a young person under 18 to set up your
computer, I am, based on my personal experience, forced to disagree
with Mr. Chase.  Many of these young "experts" think they have all the
answers, and I have to revive their systems after they get involved
with Kazza and other peer-to-peer file programs and get terminal
nasties on their computers.

I would suggest that you use someone who is into music and the MIDI
interface, such as myself.  I also find that a good MIDI device such
as a good keyboard or other dedicated MIDI synthesizer is a better
choice that the built-in MIDI device.

I have, by the way, just turned 60, and have been playing with
computers, as a hobby, for more than 20 years.  I understand that
if you keep your mind busy, you have a 60% less chance of dementia.
It sounds good to me.  I was also a fair to middling pianist until
I had brain surgery.  I turned to MIDI to continue to play and arrange.
