Record Price Paid for Concert Roller Organ
By Jim Canavan

Just to clarify -- These outrageous prices are for the "Concert" roller
organ (basically the little 20-note Gem Roller Organ in a larger, nicer
case), not the 32-note "Grand" organ?

I regularly see the large Grand organs selling for $4,000 (including
a few cobs), but the common 20-note version selling for this? If so,
then $4200+ for the same organ I bought in a flea market about 10 years
ago (in perfect operating condition) for about $500 makes mechanical
music collecting one of the best investments around.

And besides, not only do they increase in value, but we get to play
with them too! (But I'm not telling the rest of you anything new --
I guess this is "preaching to the choir"!)
