Seek Swell Mechanism for Needham Organette
By Todd Augsburger

I recently purchased a 39-note E. P. Needham organette ("The Needham
Musical Cabinet"). All plays well, and it appears to be complete,
with the exception noted below. It is of the type which has a
"Starter" knob on the left, and a "Rewind" knob on the right. The
top hinged cover folds down so that the paper is covered, and there's
a swell shutter in the middle. There's a picture (with the cover open)

Attachment thumbnail Unfortunately, the mechanism which should open the swell lid is completely missing. There was evidently some lever or knob under the right-hand side of the front, which would have translated the motion to raise a jackshaft to the right of the roll, lifting the swell lid. Any idea what it looks like? Anyone have one, who could possibly furnish pictures or description? Thank you, Todd Augsburger - Roller Organs http://www.rollerorgans.com/
