Roll-Playing Electronic Player Organs
By Hal Davis

Estey also made a player piano-reed organ, that I once saw in a music
store in Holland, Michigan. And of course, Kimball sold a number of
them that used rolls similar in size and spacing to regular player
piano rolls. However, these were especially made for the Kimball
organ, not player pianos.

I have a Gulbransen Theatrum player organ which contains a digital
computer on the back and it plays from digitally recorded cassette
tapes. It plays either pre-recorded tapes or home made tapes. An
interesting thing is that you can play on the keys along with the
tapes if you should so desire.
