ArtEcho Rolls
By Jim Canavan

When I read the recent postings searching for Apollo ArtEcho rolls, I
checked my "regularly played" closetful of rolls close by my piano with
no luck, but upstairs in the "almost never played" closet, I came across
the following roll:

  QRS
  ArtEcho
  R-2049
  Mazurka, B-minor
  Op. 33, No.4
  Played by Annette Essipoff
  CHOPIN

The box label is light blue in color. The roll seems to be in fine
shape; the box is the "open end and slide out roll" QRS type, and in
good shape, with some slightly frayed edges.

Is this the same as Apollo ArtEcho system? If so and the owner of the
ArtEcho piano is interested in it, I'd be happy to either sell it or
trade for some other roll or rolls (regular 88-note or Themodist). I
know how frustrating it can be to have "hardware" of a given type but
no "software." It drove me crazy owning a 1912 Pathe KOK 28mm movie
projector and no films for it, until I finally located a reel of 28mm
film on eBay some years back.
