"Th' Barrel Organ," Book by Edwin Waugh
By Todd Augsburger

I just uploaded a delightful book entitled: "Th' Barrel Organ," by Edwin
Waugh (1817-1890), to the archives at Project Gutenberg. You may read
or download it at:

    http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/15986

This small book (about 6,500 words) may be of interest to MMD readers,
as it is a humorous sketch of the accidental transposition and delivery
of a washing machine and a barrel organ.

I'd recommend you read it in its original form, but if any of you have
difficulty reading the charming Lancashire dialect in which much of the
conversation takes place, I've provided a rough translation into
American dialect at:

Does anyone know of other small books/stories which include references
to mechanical music?
