Great Dorset Steam Fair
By Roger Desouches

Well, well, another Great Dorset Steam Fair. Good report! I have
been attending continuously since 1976 so I think I know something
about this effort. Book just after Christmas if you want to get
accommodations.

The highlight was the return of the best Ruth organ on the British
circuit, the "Golden Ruth", so called. After nearly 20 years it was
lovely to hear it again, but it's a pity that recordings of this
instrument are no longer available. Having said that, I have the
four original recordings and they are treated like gold!

Well, here's to next year's GDSF. Thanks again to Mike and his team
for a lovely weekend!
