Jumbo Duo-Art Program Rolls by AMR
By Dan Wilson, London

John McClure asked [051215 MMDigest], "I have never seen any before;
are they rare and or desirable?" And Robbie said, "Rare? Yes.
Desireable? Maybe. How many functioning Duo-Art pianos exist that
can accommodate the huge spool?"

I bought a lot of them from Frank Adams for use as plain hand-played
pedal rolls. Aeolian's 65/88-note pushup can accommodate them so they
were ideal for "shopping mall" music. But several UK owners of Weber
Duo-Art grands, including Gerald Stonehill, seem to have no problem
with them.
