New USB Controllers & Wireless MIDI
By Spencer Chase

Hello, Belkin has finally released their wireless USB hub. I have
one on order from Amazon (best price and availability combination)
that should arrive Monday. I'll test it and write a review for the MMD.
My plan is to use it for wireless MIDI between a notebook computer and
an E-Roll player piano and or a solenoid piano.

There was no real information available, such as a user manual, so
I am not sure it will work for this purpose. I find it a little
strange that Belkin has been threatening to sell this for over a year
but hasn't managed to post a user manual, a reasonable data sheet or
to answer any of my e-mails asking for details. If the thing works as
a self-powered hub it should be a good solution for wireless MIDI from
a computer to a piano. If not, it is a pretty lame device with few
applications I can think of, so it must be self powered. I'll know
more on Monday.

Best regards,
Spencer Chase
