Duo-Art Electrical Wiring
By Bill Chapman

As long as the subject of overheating is being discussed, I will
mention that I noticed the original wire of my Duo-Art getting quite
warm. I am referring to the wiring, not the motor. I decided that was
not healthy for the motor nor for my house, so I replaced the wire. No
more heating. Looking at the old wire, I found that the copper was
turning green where it was in contact with the rubber coating. I have
no idea what the chemical action was; but it is clear that significant
corrosion had taken place.
