Duo-Art 74728 "Bolero" Replicated
By Robbie Rhodes

A freshly perforated replica of Ravel's "Bolero" is now on its way
to Douglas Heffer in France for a production about Ravel's music.
Rare original copies of Duo-Art 74728, performed by Rudolph Ganz,
issued in October, 1933, were loaned and transcribed to computer files
by Spencer Chase and Terry Smythe. Julian Dyer perforated the replica
music roll after verifying the accuracy of the data file. Special
thanks to Mike Schoeppner and Annalisa Regenfuss for their generosity.

Julian is working to assemble a complete offering of the Duo-Art rolls
of Ravel's compositions as performed by Ravel, Casadesus, Ganz and
possibly others.
