Organ Pipes "Drawing" When Tuning

David Schroth Jr. writes in 070815 MMDigest:

> The best way to tune is usually to tune the 4' stop (if available)
> to a tuner, then tune the 8' stops to the 4'.

If you have a keen toned string at 8' or 4' pitch, use that as your
tuning stop.  If you can get keen strings at both pitches and tune
them dead together, the combination cannot be beat as a tuning stop.
In general, the narrower the scale, the less likely it will draw.
