Source of Rubber Cement
By Wilbur Herr

About five years ago I used my last bottle of Carter rubber cement.
In a frantic search for a replacement I first read all the MMDigest
postings, experimented with snow seal, mink oil, beeswax, silicone
and all the rubber cement I could find at the time. I was unhappy
with the results of all.

Two years ago I found Best-Test Rubber Cement (Union Rubber Inc.,
Trenton, New Jersey) at our local craft shop. Best-Test, a natural
rubber latex, reacts exactly like the old Carter cement. I mix it
50/50 with naphtha.
