Visiting Collectors and Dealers in New York
By Matthew Caulfield

I suspect that what Leão Leibovich means by the "New York" that he is
visiting over the coming holidays is just New York City, not all of New
York State. Is that correct?

People from out of state, not to mention from out of the country, are
often unaware of the confusion that arises from saying "New York,"
unless context makes the meaning clear. But it's our fault for having
a state and its largest city with the same name. What other state does?
