Seek Original Pump for Duo-Art Upright in UK
By Mike Wilkinson

Hi, I've just bought a UK-built 1926 Steck Duo-Art upright, which
I believe is now fitted with a non-original electric pump. It was
certainly built as a pedal electric, as all the original switching
is intact, with the "Motor" pull knob on the side of the spool box.

The electric pump fitted now sounds like a vacuum cleaner, and is
a sizeable black wooden box with a domestic light dimmer on top of it.

So my question is what sort of pump would have been fitted originally?
I've seen information on the four-bellows square pump in the service
manuals, but also talk of six-bellows and steamboat pumps.

And does anybody have an original pump for sale in the UK?

Thanks,
Mike Wilkinson
