Carousel Organs & Amusement Parks
By Rich Sitler

Thanks, TJ, for the compliment on "my" (Hersheypark's) band organ
(and it sounded good at Christmas -- Wow!). There are times when
it drives me up a wall and there's a bunch of things that need done
(maybe this winter) but I do love the opportunity to keep it playing.

A necessary correction, though: Hersheypark is operated by
Hershey Entertainment and Resorts, not the Hershey Company. Hershey
Entertainment and Resorts is a private company with one shareholder
-- the Hershey Trust, which maintains the trust fund for the Milton
Hershey School (http://www.mhs-pa.org/ ). We have absolutely nothing
to do with the Hershey Company and they nothing with us. The Trust is
a majority shareholder of their stock, so that is the only connection.

Hershey Entertainment and Resorts operates all of the non-chocolate
interests, including the Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, Laundry, Nursery
and Hersheypark. There was your Hershey lesson for the day.

[ Bill taught me tuning and a little bit of what makes them work."
 [ At http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hersheypark is a good, concise
[ history of the park. -- Robbie
