116-note Aeolian Pipe Organ Test Roll
By Jay Merrill

In going through the 116-note Aeolian organ rolls I've been listing
on eBay, I pulled a roll out of a box to check it. There is no label
on the roll and it has a different tab and the flanges are a little
different. There is handwriting that looks like blue ink.

First there is a group of 3 holes then 1, then starting at very left
1 spare, 2 pilot 1, 3 pilot 2, 4 pilot 3, C ped coupler-left to
pedal, and so on. They are not single round holes but are short slots.
As far as I can see there is no tempo or any other printing on the
roll. I'm guessing the penmanship is vintage with the roll. It's
certainly not ballpoint ink and could be blue pencil. Any ideas?
