Roll-Operated Player Pipe Organ Census
By Mike Walter

Hi all, This is an interesting time for this thread. Just yesterday
I came across some 1988 correspondence with a lady in Idaho about an
Aeolian residence pipe organ. I called the business to see if the
organ was still in existence and the organ is still in its location.
The info is: an "early" Aeolian player pipe organ, originally built for
R. E. Olds of Lansing, Michigan. Was sold to Ellsworth O. Johnson of
Spokane, Washington, at some point in time. Was then sold to Allen G.
Cox of Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1972. It has stayed in this installation
since 1972. The player has not worked since its move in '72. The organ
specifications are as follows:

Manual I: Principale Grande 8' 58 pipes, Flauto Primo 8' 58 pipes,
Viola Marina 8' 58 pipes, Flauto Ottava 8' 58 pipes,
Trombetta 8' 58 pipes

Manual II: Violino Primo 8' 58 pipes, Dolcino 8' 58 pipes,
Voce Angelica 8' 46 pipes, Quintatoni 8' 58 pipes,
Flauto Lontano 8' 58 pipes, Oboe di Caccia 8' 58 pipes

Pedal: Contra Basso 16' 27 pipes, Basso Minore 16' 27 pipes,
Flauto Grande 8' 27 pipes

Couplers: Manual I to Pedal, Manual II to Pedal,
Manual II to Manual I, Manual II to Manual I Octaves

Combination Pistons: Manual l Piano, Manual l Mezzo, Manual l Forte,
Manual ll Piano, Manual ll Mezzo, Manual ll Forte

Aeolienne: Aeolian Normal Solo, Aeolian Reverse Solo, Aeolian to Pedal,
Aeolian to Manual I Grand, Aeolian to Manual II Grand, Aeolian Tempo,
Aeolian Reroll, Aeolian Ventil

Accessories: Manual II Tremolo, Balanced Crescendo or Tonal Pedal,
Balanced Manual I and II Swell Pedal, Sfzordando Pedal

Adrian Cox, the son of the late Allen G. Cox, confirmed that the organ
was still in the Sandpoint, Idaho, location. He also indicated that
it could be available for sale, if there was a party interested in it.
To contact him for more information or information about its purchase,
please call him at 1-208-263-7613.

Good luck,
Mike Walter
