Seek Wurlitzer YU Photoplayer Percussion Parts
By Steve Grattan

Hi list, I have a Style YU Wurlitzer Photoplayer that I am restoring.
I have already built a complete double stack for it but am stymied
when it comes to parts of the toy counter that fits in the right side
case. Specifically, I am looking for a snare drum/tom-tom playing
mechanism and a bass drum playing mechanism. Either rebuildable parts
or good pictures of these mechanisms.

This machine was rescued from underneath a stage in a theater in San
Francisco. Someone in the past has cobbled it together with a myriad
of parts and/or taken the parts for another instrument. You can call
me toll free if desired at 1-888-742-6644 if you have questions.
Thank you!

[ According to Bowers' Encyclopedia, page 699, the Style YU
 [ is a Style U Photoplayer that played 88-note rolls. A total
[ of 40 Style YU instruments were built from 1916 to 1924.
