Help with Newer Player Mechanism
By Rick Hageman

Hello All, In 110222 MMDigest, Richard Friedman was kind enough to
supply the Grainger information for the later Aeolian player motors.
I checked on the Grainger web site and found the motor stock number he
supplied. The Ametek Lamb number is 115756 and Grainger's item number
is 2M182.

Reviewing Grainger page 85, I found what I believe is the 120-volt
equivalent. It's Ametek Lamb # 116669-50, and Grainger's item # 2M421.
Keep in mind that the 240-volt motor is running slower and would likely
have less vacuum and cubic feet per minute flow.

The ratings on the 240-volt motor are 89.0 and 78.0 at 240 volts. The
120-volt motor develops 94.0 and 90.2. I'm not certain if you can
expect half the CFM and vacuum running the 240-volt motor on 120-volts.
Perhaps someone more electrically savvy can enlighten us. Also, doing
a "Google" search I found a number of businesses selling these motors
for less. One business was listing the 240-volt motor for $77.99.
