Piano Electric Power Switch Shock Hazard

The simplest way to avoid any shock hazard is to keep the mechanical
toggle action of the original switch, which is usually reliable, but
de-wire the switch and make the its linkage operate a microswitch of
sufficient rating fitted with a lever or roller.

Ideally you can also fit an arc suppressor capacitor across the
contacts.
