"Diana" Brand Piano Rolls
By Hendrik Strengers

Recently I bought a Spanish piano roll catalogue with 24 pages. On
the cover is "Rollos Diana, Primer supplemento al Catálogo general".

Inside there is a round stamp with the text: "Musica Miguel Morales,
Valladolid". The directory, published by Paul de Wit (Leipzig 1926/7)
mentions this music shop at the address "Santiago 53, Valladolid".
The printer is: "Umeca (S.-A.), Calle del Dr. Santero 14 (Cuatro
Caminos), Madrid". On the back is another address: "Litografía e
Imprenta U.M.E., Santo Tomé 4, Madrid, 1925".

The booklet mentions: "Rollos de música perforada a toda clase de
aparatos y pianos automáticos de 88 notas". The lowest mentioned
number is 11 and the highest 1653. Who can give information on this
roll-factory, or is it just a brand of another maker ?

Musical regards,
