How to Tune a Player Piano Out of Tune
By Jan Kijlstra

Mark Ritzenhein wrote, "Many intervals in equal temperament are
imperfect or unjust..." Maybe we should say "almost any," at least
in equal temperament tuning. Only prime and octave are perfect in
equal temperament.

Our brain is trained to find beauty in imperfection. Looks like "love
is blind", or like the song in "My Fair Lady", where Professor Higgins
is singing "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face".
