Starrett Organette Is Probably an Ariston
By Robert Deuel

Yesterday I posted an inquiry regarding a Starrett organette. A number
of gentlemen who are familiar with organettes have directly replied to
me indicating that they thought the organette was possibly a Ariston,
from the description I provided, and questioned the possibility that
it was a Starrett since that organette name is unknown.

After looking at pictures of Ariston organettes on the Internet, it
appears to be an Ariston. The notion that it was a Starrett comes from
a tattered segment of paper glued neatly on the bottom which contains
the word "Starrett" that I assumed to be part of an original label.
Most likely the paper is a segment from a Starrett tool information
sheet or warranty label that someone glued on the bottom possibly to
seal an air leak. It sure was misleading.

I want to thank all who responded to my inquiry. You all were most
helpful.
