Rebuilding a Player Piano Air Motor System
By Clinton Gray

Ah, so the spring could be shaped like a V then! Those are all in
place, as far as I can tell. I see nothing missing inside the action
of the player or piano, except for all the felts that have rotted away.

Today I removed the stack from the piano, and there was so much dust
and bits of dry-rotted cloth and paper that none of the paper or felt
punchings are left after vacuuming it out. Some of the keys that
stuck before now lean far too low now that the keys are also removed
for cleaning. It also appears that all of the tubing that is out of
sight when the stack is inside the piano is lead. Many of the pouches
are leaking around the edges, and the leather is very old, and needs
replacing.

I am trying to get a copy of Art Reblitz's book as soon as I can.
There is so much that I don't know after looking inside the piano!
