Passing of Mary Belton of The Pianola Shop
By Mike Boyd

Dear all, I am sorry to have to report that the former proprietor of
the Pianola Shop in Brighton (England), Mary Belton, has passed away
in a nursing home in Hove.

If proof were needed that involvement with the world of the pianola
leads to a long and contented life, look no further -- Mary was 98
years old! This was despite her devotion to cigarettes, which she
smoked constantly. Together with her husband Eddie, who pre-deceased
her by over 30 years, she ran the shop which was latterly in North
Street in a former Public House.

Her funeral will take place at the Downs Crematorium, Bear Road,
Brighton, at 3 p.m. this Thursday, the 12th of April, 2012. She
requested that no flowers be sent, instead a donation to an animal
charity.

Kind regards,
Mike Boyd
