It looks like I may have to rebuild a steamboat pump.  It's been
awhile since I've done one and I remember it was a pain the last time.

Does anyone have a tip for the take-apart?  If I do it, I'll be
re-doing the flap valves in the more common style; 14 strips of leather
per pneumatic is a bit too much.  I'm interested in how others have
dealt with the design.
