Removing an Ampico "A" Drawer
By Pat DeWitt

Hi All, I need to "drop my drawer" -- the Ampico drawer, that is.
I am going to improve the ease with which the roll tracking rod (which
slides across behind the spool box) slides back and forth --- to
hopefully achieve more sensitive tracking of rolls --- and I need to
lower the drawer to get to it.

I believe that I read somewhere that one of the pair of rollers on each
end of the drawer could be removed and the drawer would sort of pivot
down to permit access to the rear most parts of the drawer. This would
save actually having to take it loose and lowering it down onto a box
or something underneath that will permit access without damaging the
tubing. I suppose that it is necessary in any event to un-hook the big
rod that keeps the drawer going parallel when sliding it in and out.
Any advice would be appreciated.
