Unknown March Tunes on Reproduco Roll
By Robbie Rhodes

Douglas Heffer seeks help to identify some unknown marches on a
Reproduco roll with no leader or label and with an unknown number
of tunes missing after the leader. He sent audio recordings of
his restored Reproduco piano-organ playing the existent tunes of
the incomplete roll, which I will place at the MMD Sounds site,
http://www.mmdigest.com/Gallery/Sounds/index.html

I recognized the first two songs and found comparison recordings
on YouTube:

(a) Rotary March (Joseph M. Hahn, 1916)

Attachment thumbnail (b) Under The Double Eagle (J. F. Wagner, 1902) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AwIWi6r0p4
Attachment thumbnail (c) ? (d) ? (e) ? At http://www.mmdigest.com/Gallery/MMMedia/Reproduco/os&nos1.html is a partial catalog of Reproduco rolls. "Rotary March" and "Under The Double Eagle" appear on roll OS-196. Unfortunately, we don't know what songs follow after "Under The Double Eagle". The (recut) long roll was split into two portions and mounted on Ampico medium spools so that it could be played in a standard 88-note spool frame but we have song titles for only the first of the two (smaller) rolls.
