Repairing & Regulating an Ampico B Player Piano
By David Greene

I am gathering supplies and information to regulate the reproducing
action on our Ampico B. A few of the keys depress but don't quite play
the string using a roll and I am hoping the problem is either a piano
action or reproducing action regulation issue. In any case, I'd like
to diagnose the problem. The keys play fine by hand.

Thanks to list members, I have found where to get David Saul's book and
an Ampico B test roll. However, I have been unable to find the "Note
Compensation Roll" mentioned in Reblitz's book. Where can I purchase
a recut of this roll?

Also, what vacuum gauge do folks recommend for regulating a player
piano or reproducing piano player action? Reblitz talks about building
your own with glass tubing and water but I don't trust that I can make
an accurate gauge and I fear sucking water into the action.
