Seeburg L Motor Power
By Giorgio Farabegoli

Hello, does anyone know the [horse-] power of the electric motor of
the USA automatic piano Seeburg L?

The electric motor of Seeburg L works with a voltage of 110 volts at
a frequency of 60 Hz, while in Italy we have a line voltage of 220
volts with a frequency of 50 Hz, so we must use a device that allows
to change voltage and current. Do you have any advice for me?

Greetings from Italy!

[ Install a transformer or autotransformer to reduce the applied
 [ voltage to 5/6 x 110 = 93 volts. Increase the diameter of the
[ motor pulley if more airflow is needed. If the temperature of the
[ motor housing rises above 35 or 40 deg. C. install a small fan.
